New Year's Resolutions For 2014 and 500K Challenge Progress Update

Happy New Year's all! Hard to believe that the year is over already, isn't it? Or at least it seems so to me, when it feels like my daughter was born just a month ago. Hard to believe that she's already 7 months! They grow so fast!

Anyways on to the writing stuff.

First, I'd like to announce that with 18,870 more words toward my 2013 nano novel, Honorless, I have finished the first draft, bringing it to a total of 85,943 words.

It still needs a lot of polishing up before it will be ready for publication, but before I do edits on that, I am going to finish the second draft of The Last Doomling Book 1: Bad Blood that some of my friends are being kind enough to read it over for me. Thanks guys, and don't forget you're awesome ;)

The last couple months have been a mess, as far as recording on my blog my numbers written, in addition to forgetting to add in what my starting point had been before the start of my 500K challenge. I have taken some time to figure out my numbers. Tossing whatever I've done on various outlines and notes up for lost because I never noted down how much for which, I've decided to count only the novels, short stories, and the fanfiction I worked on toward my challenge. Since August 18th of this year till now, I have added:
27,148 toward The Last Doomling Book 1: Bad Blood
920 toward Rescuing the Prince
86,065 toward toward Heartless
343 toward my Travel Guide
3,297 towards the Cinderella short story
12,322 toward the fanfic
Total: 130,095 words toward my challenge.

I thought that I'd post a list of my resolutions for the upcoming year, for fun and as a reminder. I'm a strange mixture of over achiever and expert procrastinator, so we'll just have to see how well I do on them XD

1. Have at least the novels Rescuing the Prince, The Last Doomling Book 1: Bad Blood, and Honorless, finished by the end of the year.
2. Find a better balance for my life.
3. Start at least 1 new novel.
4. Read my Bible through in chronological order.
5. Make a world map.
6. Draw more.
7. Blog more :P
8. Read at least 12 books.
9. Get more involved.
10. Get as close to 500K words written as I can by 8/18/2014

What about you guys? Got any New Years resolutions? Feel free to share!
