NaNoWriMo 2013 Results!

Well, this has been my second, and so far most successful NaNoWrimo. In addition to breaking my daily record for a second time on the 27th with a total of 9,005 words written for that day, I've finished the whole of NaNoWriMo with a total of 67,072 words toward my novel, Honorless. I've had a blast word warring and plotting alongside friends!

The first draft of the book isn't done yet, being about 2/3rds done by my rough estimate, but I will be continuing to work on just it until the first draft is finished. Once I have a second draft that is worthy of being viewed by my beta readers, I will the move on to finishing off either a book from my The Last Doomling series or last year's NaNoWriMo novel, Rescuing the Prince. I currently lean toward the latter at this time, but who knows what I'll be craving to work on when that day rolls around.

All of the writing will be counted toward my personal yearly challenge. I'm sure that I'm probably behind in where I should be, but I'm not going to focus on that. Instead, I will be writing as much as I possibly can and see how close to that goal line I can reach by the beginning of September next year.

In addition, someone in my writer's chat passed along a link to an interesting site called Final Deadline. After I find out a little more about it, I may give it a try to see if it helps me to increase my productivity.

I have so many things to read now! On top of the two novels I'm reading on my kindle, a few friends have let me read their work in return for some feedback. So much talent going around! Now, please understand that I do not read the work of others, except for a few of my friends. I'm a writer, not an editor, after all.

Now I best stop dawdling, heroically ignoring the siren songs that are my friends novels, and get back to my own writing!
