Hornet VS Mother Deathmatch! Plus Days 16 and 17 of 500,000 Word Challenge

The last two days have merged into each other and between short bursts of sleep and story ideas nagging at my brain until I have to get up and write them down, I can hardly tell where one ended and the other started.

Even worse, I had a hornet get in my house and start buzzing around my head at two in the morning, forcing me to get creative as all our flyswatters are missing and my baby was sleeping on the couch next to me. So, for my baby's safety, it had to be taken down. When it finally landed, of course out of my reach on the space above the dining room archway, I stood on a chair and used what might possibly be the most unorthodox of flyswatters, an empty diaper box(hey, it was the only thing that would reach!).

Between the two days I've written 2,940 words. 689 of that was on the fanfiction story with my friend. 726 of that was toward four different story's concepts, plotting, and notes. The rest was written on my The Last Doomling first book, which was 1525 words. That leaves me at a grand total of 33,968 and right on track.

I'm looking forward to the weekend, I can tell you that! Nothing but sleeping and reading more of Patrick Carr's A Cast of Stones and, if I can get to the library, Dragonwitch by Anne Elisabeth Stengl in my foreseeable future!

Night all! Or day, depending :P
