Reading, reading, and more reading!

Someday I want to have enough money so I can build a library in my house, one as big or bigger than my living room, lined with books on every wall!

This week I went on a book buying binge. First it started with buying Switched, Torn, and Ascend by Amanda Hocking at my local Walmart. I originally bought all three as kindle e-books before they were traditionally published, but I enjoyed them enough that I wanted the printed versions. Not to mention that I really wanted to read the bonus stories. In the last 24 hours I re-read Ascend and it was just as satisfying a read this time around as it was the first, even better with the awesome bonus story at the end.

Then the reading-addiction flared up again on Monday when my father and I stopped a discounted book section of Walmart (yes, I do almost all my shopping there) and I couldn't resist the sales! I ended up buying six books, including:
'Marlfox' by Brian Jacques
'Love Bites' by Ellen Schreiber
'Flirt' by Laurell K. Hamilton
'Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict' by Laurie Viera Rigler
'Me, Myself, and Why?' by MaryJanice Davidson
and 'Dark and Stormy Knights' which is a collection of stories by several authors.

With the exception of Brian Jacques, a favorite author of my childhood, I've not read anything by, or heard anything about, any of these authors. It will be interesting to see what they write like. If I like one enough, I might even do a review of it.

  1. I go on book buying binges all the time. So don't feel bad.

    1. I never feel truly feel guilty about book buying binges. The way I see it, it's an investment in research and refueling my creativity. It's always worth it, just wish it didn't cost so much!

Feel free to comment, I'd love to hear from you!
